A diesel generator on the other hand produces more noise which requires it being kept in a sound proof box. This box requires occasional ventilating in the absence of which the high temperature generated during the compression process may pose as a major risk to the user.

A diesel generator is in most cases more expensive than a gasoline generator and is also a better investment than the latter.
